Most Search Engine queries produce results that are so broad that it makes it difficult to quickly access the information you need. With million of references returned to a single specific Search term you have entered, many of the Links you are shown have nothing to do with what you want to know. Most Internet Directories, that claim to provide you with a list of sites that will help you narrow down your Search are nothing more than what are now called Link Farms. These massive lists, where thousands of Advertisers post a free link to their site, are not always kept current or checked for accuracy. When you do a Search on these directories, you are provided with a long list of sites that may (or in many cases may not) provide you with a link to a site that provides the information or products you are seeking.

Why Is There A Reciprocal Link Requirement For Advertisers On Our Site?

Simpler Search™ Directories are able to offer inexpensive, fixed cost Advertising rates (no Pay Per Click or Cost Per Thousand viewer charges) because we ask that you maintain an active Link from your site to ours.

We ask that you do this willingly as a part of your commitment to this new model of a “cooperative community of Advertisers”. Our policy also insures against playing favorites, we treat each of our advertisers as equals and base our ranking purely on the type of Ads you run.

On most Directory sites, those that do have a link are given higher rankings. The major Search Engines (Google™, MSN™, Ask™, Yahoo™) are constantly searching (spider crawling) the billions of web pages on the Internet.

They are initially looking for Sites that fit a specific set of Keyword criteria in order to categorize them. We have done a great deal of research on the algorithms that are used to generate better rankings for Websites and we are certain you have all read the articles and stories about how to Optimize your own site in order to be found, and highly ranked, by these “spiders”.

Next they are looking for sites that have links (relationships) that are relevant to specific categories, reviewing both Incoming and Outgoing Links. One part of the ranking formula that never seems to change is that Sites that Link to other related Sites are rewarded with a better position in the Search results because the relevancy of the connection is obvious.

As an example: A company that manufactures Televisions and has a Reciprocal Link with a Site that sells Televisions, will help both companies rank higher in organic/natural Search results than a company that sells Televisions will have with either no Links, or worse yet, an unrelated Link to a Flower Shop.

Many of you have placed Ads or Links on large multi category Directories. These Link Farms, as they have been named by the Industry, will allow any and all links to be listed. What those massive Directories don’t tell you is that today, more than ever before, the major Search Engines are looking at these “mass” irrelevant links as a negative mark on your Search ranking and can actually pull your Organic Search position down.

In the worst cases, where you may have used a Directory Submission Service to send your link to 1000’s of Directories, the Search Engines will send you to their version of the Sandbox until you “clean up your act”.

As each Simpler Search™ site only allows Ads, Articles and Blogs that are directly related to the specific domain’s “topic”, all of the Links are relevant and the Simpler Search™ sites will quickly rise to the top of the Natural Search rankings. When you add in the Advertising we will do, using Category Specific Keywords, we plan to generate more traffic to your site than you could generate on your own. And, we can do so at a lower cost because of the Community of Advertisers to which you can belong.

As the Simpler Search™ family of Search sites grows to 100 Category Specific Directories, you will gain not only from the traffic generated from the particular Site you advertise on, but also from all of the other Simpler Search™ sites that are interwoven and cohesively Linked together. On each of our Site there are relevant Reciprocal Links to each of our other sites.

Do You Offer Any Promotions?

Occasionally we will offer Special Discount rates to Advertisers and provide Promotion Codes to enter at the time you are placing your Ads. These Discounts will generally be offered either by email to those that have signed up for our program or to existing Advertisers when a new Simpler Search™ site is getting ready to go online.

We are currently offering special “Charter Member” promotions to any Advertiser that places an Ad for 3 months or longer. The Promotion gives you an additional 2 to 3 Free Ads in other areas on the same Site to maximize your exposure. These Free Ads run for the entire length of your contract and are explained in the Advertise With Us section on this Simpler Search Directory.

How Am I Charged For My Advertising?

All advertising fees are clearly presented and confirmed at the time you place your order. The full amount of charges, related to the Advertising Packages you have selected, are billed to your account when you accept our Terms and Conditions.

Please note that any act or behavior that breaks our rules of conduct could lead to a forfeiture of any payments you have made. Prior to this forfeiture we will give you an opportunity to correct any issues that are brought to our attention.

Once your payment has been made it is your responsibility to upload your Advertisement files on to our Simpler Search™ server in the specified size and format for the site you have selected.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

For your convenience, Simpler Search™ accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express through Pay Pal and Authorize.net

Your Credit Card information is not stored on our server and all other data provided by you is safely encrypted.

Do You “Bump” My Paid Ad Space For A Higher Paying Advertiser?

No. Never.
It is our strongly held belief that early-adopters (Charter Members), as our first Advertisers, deserve to be rewarded for their vision. For that reason the position of your Paid Ads will not be changed to favor a new Advertiser. We do however, reserve the right to shift the position of Free Ads that are provided with your 3-month or longer contract, rotating them into several positions to maximize the exposure of all our long term Advertisers.Note:

For new Advertisers, if your first choice in positions is currently not available, there are alternatives offered. When space becomes available you will be given the option of moving your Ads to a different location on the Site.

How Will I Know When My Advertising Is Going To Expire?

When your Ad is going to expire you will receive an automatically generated Email notification. When you receive that notification, sign in to your Simpler Search™ Account Management Admin Panel and renew your advertising. 

You will be able to add or remove any Ads you wish at that time. Once you have agreed again to the Terms and Conditions, and verified your information, your Ads will continue to run.

If you take no action before the actual expiration date we will assume you wish to discontinue your Advertising. At that point your Ad(s) will be removed from the Site and you will lose your position in the hierarchy of the Site. If you choose to reactivate them after they have expired, our plan is to keep your graphics stored in your file in our Databank for easy reloading.

What Other Simpler Search™ Sites Do You Have Available For My Advertising?

As quickly as possible we will be adding Category Specific Search Engines with these Domain Names. Our plan is to have a total of 100 Simpler Search™ Domains. This is a list of a portion of the domain names we currently control. Where some are near duplicates (example: Bike and Bicycle), we will link the two Domain Names together.
